Real-World STEM. Science in Action.
With nearly 20 years in environmental engineering and air quality consulting, Grant brings real industry experience into every talk. He translates complex engineering and regulatory challenges into practical insight, showing students, educators, and organizations how STEM shows up in the systems that shape everyday life.
Because STEM isn't just something you study. It's something that builds the world around us.
About Grant
Grant Aguinaldo, PhD is an environmental engineer, Maui native, and Principal at Envera Consulting. For nearly two decades, he has helped California facilities plan, permit, and operate within one of the most complex air quality regulatory environments in the country. He advises clients on permitting strategy, compliance, and the operational impacts of new and pending regulations in air quality, energy, and climate.
Grant has spoken at local and national conferences on decarbonization and hydrogen infrastructure and has been featured in trade publications. He works at the intersection of science and infrastructure, based in California and splitting time with Hawaiʻi.
Grant is passionate about helping students see how science moves beyond textbooks into the systems that power communities, from air quality and energy to infrastructure and technology. Through talks and workshops, he connects classroom learning to real careers, offering practical insight into what engineers actually do and how curiosity can become impact.
